Overview
The One Hundred Forty-Ninth Dragoon Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the VII Corps, Eighth Army to District 1 of the Free Worlds League Military Region, but was moved to an District 2 during the Periphery Uprising in 2765.[1] The 149th survived the war and the Hegemony Campaign, to be absorbed by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns[1][2] in 2784.[2] The Armed Forces of the Federated Suns redesignated the 149th the Fourth Avalon Borderers, expanding the Avalon Borderers brigade using the 2004th and two other former SLDF regiments.[2]
Composition
As an SLDF Dragoon regiment the 149th would have been composed primarily of heavy to assault 'Mechs, tanks and hovercraft.[3]
