Overview
The 157th BattleMech Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the XXV Corps, Eighth Army, to District 1 of the Free Worlds League Military Region and then transferred to District 3 by 2765, to take part in the Periphery Uprising.[1]
In 2773 the 157th was part of the first wave of troops to hit the planet of Connaught. They arrived via a pirate point close to the planet, transported on three Potemkin-class warships. Joining with elements of the 2nd French Infantry Regiment and the 189th Battle Regiment they dropped on to the highest priority targets. Over the next few days they took heavy casualties before being relieved by the main assault force of the Eighth Army. [2]
The 157th was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[1]
Composition
As an SLDF BattleMech Division the 157th would have been composed with two Brigades of 'Mech regiments and one brigade of Mechanized Infantry regiments.[3]
