Overview
The 159th Hussar Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the XXXVII Corps, Fourth Army, to District 3 of the Federated Suns Military Region, but was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery in 2765.[1]. The 159th joined the rebels during the Periphery Uprising,[1] defecting to the Taurian Concordat. The 159th was one of three SLDF regiments to defect to the Concordat during the Uprising - the others being ad-hoc regiments from the Thirty-sixth Infantry Division and the 161st Mechanized Infantry Division - and was the only one to survive the Uprising. In 2784 the Taurian Defense Force re-designated the Hussars as the Red Chasseurs.[2]
