History
The Eighteenth Sian Dragoons officially formed in 2784, but their origins lay in an older command, the 360th BattleMech Division.[1] The 360th was originally a part of XXV Corps, within the Star League Defense Force Eighth Army,[2] but in 2783 the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces recruited the remains of the entire division, and in 2784 used the personnel and equipment from the 360th to form six new regiments within the Sian Dragoons brigade - one of which was the Eighteenth.[1]
