The 193rd Mechanized Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
The 193rd was originally a Terran Hegemony volunteer militia that was commissioned as a full SLDF division following a solid performance in a number of joint exercises with SLDF regulars. Despite being composed entirely of Hegemony citizens—the requirement for a Royal division—the unit's militia origins precluded its status as a Royal division and has since enlisted personnel from all over the Inner Sphere.[1]
In 2764, the 193rd was a part of L Corps within the Sixteenth Army and was assigned to District 3 of the Draconis Combine Military Region.[2]
The 193rd was deployed to the Outworlds Alliance by 2765 along with the Sixteenth Army in response to the Periphery Uprising.[3] The unit was subsequently destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[2]

Tactics
The mechanized Infantry divisions of the Star League were used offensively to exploit gaps in the enemy front created by the BattleMech divisions. They also bore the brunt of defensive actions.
Composition History
The division comprised two brigades of mechanized infantry and a single BattleMech brigade. Also attached was a Ground Aero Wing.[4]
