The Two Hundred and Twenty-Ninth Dragoon Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. One of the SLDF's Royal units, personnel within the regiment were recruited exclusively from worlds within the Terran Hegemony.[1]

History
The 229th was an independent regiment within LIX Corps, Twentieth Army, and in 2764 was assigned to an undisclosed world within the Rim Worlds Republic Territorial State. Like the other independent regiments assigned to LIX Corps, it was frequently used as a scouting force.[2]
The 229th survived the subsequent Periphery Uprising, but were destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[1]
Composition
As an SLDF Dragoon regiment the 229th would have been composed primarily of heavy to assault 'Mechs, plus tanks and hovercraft.[3]
