The Twenty-fourth Dieron Regulars were a heavy 'Mech regiment that frequently saw combat along the Federated Suns and Lyran Commonwealth borders.[1]

History

Formation


Third Succession War

The Twenty-fourth was one of the units to take part in the Third Battle of Mallory's World in 3013 supporting the elite Second Sword of Light regiment.[2], eventually being driven back after the death of First Prince Ian Davion. They would return to the world two years later.[1]

In 3013 the commander was Tai-sho Nobutake Kondo. From 3014 on, the unit was commanded by Tai-sho Simlin Toshirov.[1]

Tactics

Unlike most of the DCMS regiments the 24th fights intelligently and with caution, using the terrain to their advantage. They also have extensive experience with combined arms tactics.[1]

- The unit was upgraded to improve their defensive capabilities. Half of the unit spotted advanced equipment like modern armor, electronic warfare gear and so on.

- All machines used laser in exchange of the normal ballistic weapons, too stay longer in combat.

5th Herndon Heavy Armored Division (Regiment/Green/Reliable)[3]

63rd Herndon Militia (Regiment/Green/Reliable)[3]

  • Troop Commander: Tai-sa Terry Williams

- The militia has for air cover, 24 conventional fighters, 12 VTOLs.
