Named after the Aegis class WarShip that was flagship of Khan Rafe Kardaan's destroyer squadron before the Exodus Civil War. The 268th was given its nickname in 2992 by Khan Felipe Kardaan after it sacrificed itself to protect him from a Clan Coyote assault.[1]
In 3067 the 268th was part of the Babylon garrison.[2]
