History
Star League Era
Active during the Star League era, the Twenty-sixth Avalon Hussars fought off a large pirate raid on Robsart in 2764. The Twenty-sixth was still rebuilding a year later, in large part from salvaged equipment belonging to the raiders - equipment of a distinctly Taurian nature.[1]

Tactics
During the Star League era all of the Avalon Hussars were required to focus on being both flexible and mobile, with every regiment required to be capable of deploying within eight hours, although many of the Hussars struggled to actually achieve this.[2]

Twenty-sixth Avalon Hussars (Regular/Reliable)[3]
- - At this point in time the Twenty-sixth was stationed on Robsart and included a significant quantity of Taurian equipment within the unit makeup.[3] In common with the other regiments of the Avalon Hussars the Twenty-sixth had an attached aerospace wing, although these forces were primarily tasked to provide ground support rather than escort duties.[2]
