History
The 2nd Canopian Light Horse was formed shortly after the creation of the 1st, making the unit among the oldest in the Magistracy's armed forces.
Their first major conflict was during the Reunification War on Granera against the 1st Marik Militia. While the Light Horse did accomplish their mission objectives, they lost roughly a third of their strength in the fighting.
The unit again saw heavy combat in 3005 during a Capellan invasion into Magistracy territory. The 2nd intercepted the invaders on Luxen, sparking a four day battle that eventually led to the complete destruction of St. Cyr's Armored Grenadiers. The 2nd again saw combat with the Capellan Confederation in 3030, when Kyalla Centrella decided to invade the Confederation following the Fourth Succession War. The 2nd quickly forced Kincade's Rangers to surrender on the planet {[Repulse]] (though the Rangers deny this ever happening).
Because of their success on Repulse, they were granted the honor of wearing the symbol of the Magistracy as their personal standard.
