Overview
The Three Hundred Twenty-ninth BattleMech Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the LVI Corps, Nineteenth Army, to the Periphery Military Region.[1] The unit was also feared and hated by the population of New Vandenberg, who saw the commander as an interfering oppressor. The 'Mechs of the 329th were stationed around each of the planet's production centers. This placement was deliberate, to put a check on the Taurian Defense Force.
The unit had trouble working as a Division, because security concerns forced it to restrict gathering forces above the Brigade level.[2]
The 329th was destroyed during the Periphery Uprising in 2765.[1]

The unit was led by Major General Aldona Antonelli in 2765.[2]
Composition
As an SLDF BattleMech division the 329th was formed from two Brigades of BattleMech regiments and a brigade of Mechanized Infantry regiments.[3]
