Overview
The Thirty-eighth Royal Cavalry, Armored, Aerospace and Naval Marine Regiment or the 38th Royal CAAN Regt was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. As a Royal unit, the 38th consisted entirely of recruits from Terran Hegemony worlds.[1]
History
The Thirty-eighth formed a part of XLIII Corps, Seventeenth Army, and in 2764 was stationed at an undisclosed - but presumably water-rich - world in the Magistracy of Canopus Territorial State. During the Periphery Uprising the Thirty-eighth took heavy casualties and was disbanded by 2766; a single Battalion went on to join the rebels and was destroyed in combat in 2768.[1][2]
Composition
As an SLDF CAAN regiment the Thirty-eighth would have been formed from a mixture of BattleMechs, tanks, hovercraft, fighters, and blue-water warships.[3]
