History
In the 4th Succession War the 1st battalion surrendered on New Canton but instead of being treated as POWs the surviving mechs were disabled, the cockpits welded closed with the warriors still inside and then drowned in the Canton river. The 3rd battalion surrendered in the failed defense of Styk and later became part of the 3rd Republican. Only the 2nd battalion survived the war.
