History
In the 4th Succession War, during the third wave of the combined House Davion/House Stiener the 1st battalion surrendered on New Canton. The written lore which at that time, was what some had witnessed, or was reported is incorrect. That 'story' was that instead of being treated as POWs, by the attacking Federated Suns Mech units, the 1st battalion's surviving mechs were disabled, the cockpits welded closed with the mech warriors still inside, and then allowed to be drowned in the nearby Canton river. (circa 3062, it has been released by the Federated Suns that this was not the real case).

The 1st battalion, in reality, became a new Federated Suns Mech unit. It was first known as The 1st Valkyries Legion in 3028. In 3045, it was re-formed and re-organized as the 13th Roaring Panthers Legion.
Meanwhile, back during the 4th Succession War, the 3rd battalion surrendered in the failed defense of Styk. They later became part of the 3rd Republican, or so they say in their history. Only the 2nd battalion survived the war, as a still active, tho, decimated, dishonored CCAF reserve unit. But, it was deemed as part of the many untrusted, dishonest, non-loyal CCAF units in the Confederation. Hence, it was disbanded and had its material, personnel, and meager holdings absorbed into other CCAF units that needed the reserves. Thus, as the others of the 4th Confederation Reserve Cavalry, it too is no longer a working CCAF unit. The Fourth then ceased to exist!
