History

Though the Fourth Sword of Light officially entered service in 2695, a lack of equipment and officers delayed their deployment for ten years.[1]

During the War of Davion Succession the Fourth led the 2725 attack on Marduk, fighting alongside the 11th Benjamin Regulars, 14th Benjamin Regulars, 1st Galedon Regulars and 8th Galedon Regulars. The assault was successful, and Marduk fell to the Combine. The Fourth then went on to Breed, facing two militia regiments and the remains of the 4th Davion Guards. The Fourth Davion Guards were nearly destroyed, and the world surrendered.[2] During this time, the Fourth employed a new Stalker variant.[3]

In 2729 the SLDF launched Operation SMOTHER. The 1st Jump Infantry Division landed on Breed and within six weeks had forced the Fourth Sword of Light to surrender.[4]

Second Succession War

The Fourth Sword of Light were all but annihilated on the world Tishomingo in 2849.[5] They were defending the world from the AFFS and were led by Coordinator Yoguchi Kurita himself.[6]

It was re-raised either during the Jihad or the period of peace immediately afterward.

In June of 3135 elements of the Fourth attacked and conquered Ancha as part of Tai-shu Mitsura Sakamoto's unsanctioned invasion of The Republic of the Sphere.
