History
In 3025 the Seventh was under contract to the Lyran Commonwealth and stationed on Lyons along side their sister regiment the Third.[1]
Fourth Succession War
During the first wave of Operation GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG, the major Lyran Commonwealth offensive of the Fourth Succession War, the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces attacked Ko with the Third and Seventh Regiments of the Star Guards.[2] The defenders were of questionable loyalty, and didn't put up much of a fight in the face of the planetary assault.[3] The Seventh went on to capture Imbros III[2] during the final wave of Operation GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG in a relatively easy campaign, as the defending forces lacked any significant number of 'Mechs to oppose the Seventh with,[4] although Imbros III was possibly the last of the worlds to be fully occupied by the Lyrans, as maps still recorded it as a Combine holding in January 3029.[5]
Following the lull in offensive operations after the third wave of GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG the Third deployed again during Operation HOLDUR, the operation devised by Margrave Jack Sphire of the Ryde Theatre of the Commonwealth to break the deadlock in the local region. Almost a hundred regiments deployed in attacks across eight assorted Combine worlds in the Dieron Military District; in the case of the Seventh, that world was Asta, which fell quickly after the Seventh destroyed the few 'Mechs found amongst the defending forces.[6]
Clan Invasion
Clan Jade Falcon assaulted Bensinger during Operation REVIVAL that was defended by the Seventh. The mercenaries were engaged in wargames and were unable to participate in the main defense of the world. The Falcons eventually hunted down all the mercenaries and killed them.[7]

Tactics
Composition
After the defection of the Sixth Regiment to the Draconis Combine in the Third Succession War the remaining Battalion joined the Seventh giving it four in total.[9]
