The Eighth Skye Rangers were stationed on Kessel in 2765. They frequently engaged in training exercises with the SLDF's 11th Mechanized Infantry Division, and after these exercises engaged in drinking contests.[1]

Note: At this point in time the heavy-weight unit was stationed on Kessel with an operational readiness of 120 percent. [3] The unit was destroyed during the war.[3]
