After the IlClan Trial, Clan Wolf became the IlClan but left the Wolf Empire totally defenseless. However, a remaining high officer remained: Star Colonel Othar. He, acting by his own initiative, took the control of all the Empire's resources and began creating two new Galaxies: Lupus Galaxy and Rufus Galaxy. They were paired, with a Rufus Cluster garrisoning a planet and a Lupus one in a nearby planet, to assist Rufus if they were attacked.[1]
The Ninety-third Wolf Striker Cluster was paired with the 101st Wolf Garrison Cluster, which was defending the planet Kalidasa at the beginning of 3152, when they were attacked by the Gryphons regiment. Through January, the invaders fought a battle of attrition, but the Wolves managed to hold thanks to the planet's industry. On 5 February, the Ninety-third arrived to assist them, tearing into the Gryphons' defenses and driving them back to their DropShips. The Gryphons were preparing themselves to depart when the arrival of the Falcons regiment on 11 February turned the tide. However, distrust between both regiments made them fight separately and prevented them from crushing the Wolves, and a stalemate between invading and defending forces ensued through March.[2]
