Adam Tam was an officer of the FWL[2] whose assignment was to supervise all stages of new equipment from development until final production run (which included Weapons Science and the WarShip program) and liaised with Word of Blake technicians.

By 3044 Adam and Cassandra Blake were a power couple (sometimes called Dark Circle that was in contact of recently made Colonel of the 11th Atrean Dragoons Evelyn Panfili.[2]
In the early 3050s Blake and Tam had a very public and messy breakup; shortly thereafter, Panfili's political star was on the decline. Rumors attributed this to a love triangle with Blake and Tam but without evidence the scandal soon faded. Panfili had a relaxed congenial command style that didn't sit well with LCCC but no action has been taken against her because he still achieved results.[2][3][4]
On August 9, 3069, Paul Marik, acting on orders from The Master of the Word of Blake, carried out the coup that removed the "impostor" Thomas Marik from power as Captain-General of the Free Worlds League. General Blake strongly opposed the Word of Blake and resisted the coup along with Admiral Heather Alexander, with both being swiftly executed on Paul Marik's orders. The false Thomas Marik suspected that Adam Tam, by now both Cassandra's lover and a Blakist sympathizer, had killed her.[5]
