The Aix-la-Chapelle system was the location of at least one inhhabited world, Aix-la-Chapelle IV.[1] and as at 3145 Aix-la-Chapelle is located in the Benjamin Prefecture of the Benjamin Military District within the Draconis Combine.[2][3]

System Description

By the thirty-first century the Aix-la-Chapelle system had recharge stations at both permanent jump points.[1]

System History

Aix-la-Chapelle was settled during the First Exodus from Terra.[4]

Aix-la-Chapelle IV

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard Aix-la-Chapella IV is the fourth planet in the Aix-la-Chapelle system; the planet has three moons, named Burtsheid, Julich and Wester, and was home to a manufacturing plant owned by Diplan 'Mechyards.[1]

Planetary History

Aix-la-Chapelle IV - more commonly known simply aix-la-Chapelle - is a world dominated by harsh weather and a nearly-poisonous atmosphere; the planet's long JumpShip recharge time is another hindrance. Despite these problems, the world had a plethora of natural resources that were perfect for heavy industry. For that reason Diplan 'Mechworks built a fortress-like factory on the world's single landmass. The efficiency of using locally-produced components and materials instead of imported ones has more than offset the need to import soil to grow crops and the ongoing imports of meat. Every attempt to raise livestock on the world failed due to the chemical taint and high pressure of the atmosphere.[1]
