Aosia
System Information
X:Y Coordinates112.62:-141.19[e]

The Aosia system is home to at least one habitable planet, and as at 2750 was located in the Sarna Commonality of the Capellan Confederation.[1]

System Description

The Aosia system is located near the Lee and Moravian systems.[1]

System History

The Aosia system was settled during the First Exodus from Terra, and was involved in conflicts during the early twenty-fourth century;[2] the Aosia system was absent from maps dating from 2366 onwards,[3] indicating that the system had been depopulated or abandoned, but was recolonised at some point during the Star League era after the end of the Reunification War.[4][1]

The Aosia system was subsequently removed from maps during the Third Succession War, indicating that the system had been abandoned or depopulated for a second time.[5][6]

Planetary History

During the Capellan-Supremacy War Aosia was a Capellan Hegemony world, and was indirectly involved in the end of what was known as the Kluanian Period of the war. Agents of the Sarna Supremacy hired pirates from the Kluane system to launch raids and attacks on Capellan Hegemony worlds, prolonging the war and forcing the Hegemony to redeploy forces constantly to defend against these attacks, rather than launching their own invasions of Supermacy worlds. The Kluanian Period lasted eight months, finally ending in May 2006 after forces from the Chesterton Trade League and St. Ives Mercantile Association joined the conflict, allowing enough naval forces to be brought to bear that the bulk of the Kluanian pirate forces were crushed in the Alcyone system while en route to Aosia.[2]
