The Augusta system is the location of at least one inhabited world, Augusta VI, and as at 3145 is located in the Markesan Operational Area of the Crucis March within the Federated Suns.[2][3]

System Description

Located near the Coloma and Numenor systems,[2][3] the Augusta system consists of eight worlds, only one of which has a breathable atmosphere. The other planets within the system are all immensely rich in terms of minerals, and are home to numerous mining facilities of various kinds.[1]

System History

The Augusta system was colonized during or shortly before the Age of War.[4][5]

Augusta VI

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard August VI - more commonly referred to simply as Augusta - is the sixth planet of eight in the Augusta system and the only one with a breathable atmosphere. Augusta lacks any moons, but the numerous mining stations distributed throughout the other planets of the Augusta system all feed resources back to Augusta, and the mineral wealth available to Augusta as a result supports a Corean Enterprises manufacturing facility on the surface of Augusta.[1]

Planetary History

Augusta is the only world of eight that offers a breathable atmosphere. The other seven worlds however are very rich in mineral resources, which explains why Corean built a factory on Augusta. The minerals are mined and refined, then shipped to Augusta for incorporation into new products. Augusta also serves as a baseworld for these mining operations. The Corean Enterpises plant, which was located at Livia on Capena, was originally a facility for manufacturing components, but in the aftermath of the Jihad Corean Enterprises began expanding the facility to replace some of the lost production lines on New Avalon with both Legionnaire and Pillager BattleMechs entering production on Augusta by the end of 3079.[1]
