History
The Avellar Guard was the closest thing to a household guard unit for the Outworlds Alliance. They were stationed on Alpheratz in 2765, which allowed them to acquire the most advanced BattleMechs the Alliance could produce. This meant that they had higher morale than other Alliance Militia units.[1]
In 3054 the Avellar Guard was split into battalion-sized (and smaller) units and deployed to Alpheratz, Lushann, Sevon, and Mitchella. Elements from each battalion were stationed at factory sites.[2]
Officers
In 3025 the commanding officer was Chairman Maurice Avellar.[3]
As of 3050 to 3064 the unit was commanded by Chairman Douglas Carmichael.[4]
In 3145 the commanding officer is Chairman Sandra Rivera.[5]
