Owner History

Planetary Info

Avon has three continents, Albion where the capital city Stratford is located, Britannia and Norman. The planet is a world covered in plains that are often subject to high winds.[1][2]

Planetary History

Operation Bulldog

Avon was successfully invaded in the first wave of Operation Bulldog by the 4th Pesht Regulars; the defending First Nova Cat Guards were integrated into the Draconis Combine.[13][14][15] The planet was presumably lost and then recaptured in the second wave of Operation Bulldog by the 198th Division, 3rd Royla Guards, 4th Pesht Regulars, 11th Alshain Avengers, 1st Star League Nova Cat Guards (Alpha), 1st Star League Garrison Cluster, and 3rd Star League Garrison Cluster. The defending Beta Galaxy Command Trinary, 1st Jaguar Guards quickly lost the planet.[16]

The Jihad

On the 24th of July 3072 the renegade DCA Kirishima-class Warship the Urizen II was destroyed in the Avon system by the Clan Nova Cat WarShip Severen Leroux.[17][18]

Post-Jihad Era

The Matabushi Incorporated plant located near the city of Fresno on the Albion continent continued to produce both Union and Overlord-class DropShips for the Combine and for Clan Nova Cat throughout the Jihad,[19] despite having lost more than a third of its capacity during the conflict.[20] The Matabushi plant had been restored to full operating capability well before 3081.[21]

The Matabushi plant wasn't the only plant on Avon to manufacture items to Clan specifications in support of the Nova Cats; Luthien Armor Works also maintained a small LAW-Barcella facility on the planet to manufacture OmniMech components and second-line BattleMechs solely for the Nova Cats.[1]
