System Information
X:Y Coordinates28.94 : 412.77[e]

The Balsta system was home to at least one habitable planet or construct and as at 3145 was located in the Rasalhague Province of the Rasalhague Dominion.[1][2]

System Description

The Balsta system is located near the New Bergen and Svelvik systems.[1][2]

System History

The Balsta system was colonised by the Draconis Combine at some point during the Star League era after the end of the Reunification War.[3][4]

Planetary History

Clan Invasion

Balsta was conquered by Clan Wolf during Operation REVIVAL in April 3050. Clan Wolf's Seventh Battle Cluster attacked with it's Trinary Elemental and Bravo Striker Star, while the planet was defended by the First and Second Mechanized Militia Divisions. Both divisions were able to put up stiff resistance at the Coson Hills, Bishop Crossing and Denning Fjord until Star Captain Mario Sradac located an opening in their defensive lines and exploit it to split the defenders in two.[21]

Jihad

Balsta was conquered again during the Jihad when Clan Hell's Horses launched a invasion of the Clan Wolf holdings in the Inner Sphere in early 3071, acquiring holdings for their own relocation to Spheroid space. Balsta was seized by the Hell's Horses at some point in March or early April, who then consolidated their hold on the world.[12] During August, the Hell's Horses invasion had stalled, and Clan Ghost Bear staged trails for three worlds bordering their space - Balsta, Hermagor and Dawn.[13][14]
