The Jihad

On the 1st of September 3075 Baranda was the site of a battle between the Remagen Crucis March Militia and pirates operating out of the Malagrotta Cooperative. Acting under the command of Major General Raymond-Roger Marsin the Remagen CrMM soundly defeated the pirates[25][26] while defending the city of Villareal; the pirates had evidently been intending to plunder a textile factory located in the outskirts of the city.[27] By the end of 3075 Baranda was home to a substantial body of troops from the Islamabad and Remagen CrMMs, bolstered by additional conventional regiments, as the Federated Suns and Filtvelt Coalition surrounded the Cooperative after the coup that saw the Death's Consorts pirate band take control of the Cooperative.[28][29]
