− My first exposure was to MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries which came with my PC in 1997. Later I think MechWarrior 3 came with a flyer for this BattleTech thing with miniature mechs, sweet! Got a few minis but never played the board game. Then I happened across Neveron, which was where I was exposed to the glorious 100x100 hex combat. Over the years I've bought the new MechWarrior titles as they have come out and hunted down many old obscure ones as well. Finally at the end of 2016 I pieced together a copy of the latest edition of the board game, as its currently out of print and subsequently dragged my friends into playing that and MegaMek. If I can stop fiddling with painting mechs and obsessing over custom designs, I might give a serious try at patching the MechWarrior 2 to run in Windows 10. + My first exposure was to MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries which came with my PC in 1997.
