How to count?[edit]

As a matter of curiosity, what number is relevant here?
The number of edits as shown at Special:UserScore? (what does that page count anyways?)
Or the edits shown on a given editor's Contribution page, including all the talk page edits and minor stuff?
Or perhaps only the individual pages, to make multiple edits to the same article count as still only 1 edit?

I personally agree with the "current" policy of using the UserScore. It is my understanding that the UserScore only excludes the "Talk" pages, and I feel that's in the right. I like using the talk pages the way some people use the CBT forums, to reach a consensus on how to approach a situation. But that doesn't mean I should get credit towards my EditCount. Increments[edit]

Just wondering why after 2000 the next award is 4000 but then the next after is at 5000? If 5000 is an award marker and it seems a good one surely the one before it should be at 3000 or so?

  • 1500 -> 2000 = 500 jump
  • 2000 -> 3000 = 1000 jump
  • 3000 -> 5000 = 2000 jump
  • 5000 -> 7500 = 2500 jump
