BattleTech is an up-and-coming computer game set in the BattleTech universe in 3025. It was announced on July 29, 2015 that a new game would be made via backing from the website Kickstarter, with the Kickstarter campaign running from September 28 to Nov 4 2015.

Canonicity

Computer games are excluded from the current definition of Canon for the BattleTech universe. However, Catalyst Game Labs was particularly closely involved in the making of this game and Line Developer Randall N. Bills explicitly stated that it was intended for the game's storyline to be fully canonical.[1]

Gameplay

Steeped in the feudal political intrigue of the BattleTech universe, the game will feature an open-ended Mercenaries-style campaign that blends RPG ‘Mech and MechWarrior management with modern turn-based tactics.

Featured BattleMechs

With the title still in early pre-production, no 'Mechs have been formally confirmed as being in the finished game, but several are identifiable in the promotional images and Harebrained Schemes has offered a list of 'Mechs that they hope to include: [1] [2]
