The Baxley system was the location of at least one habitable world, Baxley III, and as at 3145 was located in the Minette Operational Area of the Crucis March within the Federated Suns.[2][3]

System Description

The Baxley system is located close to the Dothan and Vereeniging systems[4] and consists of a class K5IV primary orbited by at least three planets.[1]

System History

The Baxley system was colonised during the First Exodus from Terra.[5]

Baxley III

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard Baxley III - more commonly known simply as Baxley - is the third planet in the Baxley system.[1]

Planetary History

The Succession Wars

Baxley was a long time member of the so-called "Skid Row" worlds. Located on the edge of a vast expanse of uninhabited worlds called the Point Barrow-Dothan Desert, Baxley was barely able to support its own population's agricultural needs and also lacked the metal and mineral resources that might have attracted outside investment. Amongst the poorest and most ignorant worlds in the Davion realm, during the Succession Wars, Baxley contributed more potential recruits to ComStar than any other world in the Federated Suns, the planet's impoverished and uneducated population seeing the Blessed Order's representives as near demi-gods and treating them with greater reverence than those of the New Avalon Catholic Church.[1]
