History
The second Galaxy created by the Nova Cats.
In 2977, Beta fought a Trial of Possession against it's namesake from Clan Cloud Cobra, losing several warriors as bondsmen in the process. This action led to the introduction of the Nova Cat's mystical system into Clan Cloud Cobra and would impact the Nova Cat's own Xi Provisional Galaxy in the latter half of the thirty-first century.
Operation Revival
Beta Galaxy was one of three Nova Cat Galaxies assigned to the invasion of the Inner Sphere, the others being Alpha and Delta.
Establishing Holdings
The Smoke Jaguars ceded six worlds to the Nova cats before the Fifth Wave, most of which had proven difficult to pacify. Beta Galaxy units fought on Sawyer during this phase.

Beta Galaxy units fought on the following worlds during the Fifth Wave:
Due to missing the Battle of Luthien, Beta Galaxy took most of the worlds conquered by the Nova Cats.

Notes
- In Invading Clans, Sigma Galaxy appears to be the new name for the remains of Beta Galaxy, since they share the same nickname, component units and Commanding Officer. However, Field Manual: ComStar gives Sigma a history that goes back to well before Operation Revival.
