Brocchi's Cluster was home to at least forty habitable worlds or constructs and as at 3145 was located in the Qandahar Prefecture of the Pesht Military District within the Draconis Combine.[1][2]

System Description

Brocchi's Cluster is located near the Almunge and Turtle Bay systems.[1][2]

System History

Brocchi's Cluster was settled at some point prior to the end of the Reunification War.[3] The number of inhabited worlds or constructs within Brocchi's Cluster has varied over time, rising from forty at the end of the Reunification War[3] to fifty-five at the height of the Star League era[4] before dropping back to forty during the Succession Wars and Dark Age.[1][2]

In June 3050 a merchant JumpShip belonging to Clan Diamond Shark vanished near Brocchi's Cluster. The JumpShip had been travelling to trade with various Periphery worlds occupied by the Clans, and its disappearance - coupled with a sudden spike in resistance efforts on occupied worlds near the Cluster - led to a political crisis for the Diamond Sharks, who faced calls for a Trial of Annihilation from elements of Clan Jade Falcon based on claims that the Sharks' merchant caste were actively engaged in treason. The crisis was narrowly averted, with the Diamond Shark merchants being ejected from Inner Sphere face for some time.[5]
