The Cahokia system was home to at least one habitable world, Cahokia IV, and as at 3145 was located in the Markesan Operational Area of the Crucis March within the Federated Suns.[2][3]

System Description

The Cahokia system is located near the Northfield and Sodus systems.[2][3]

System History

The Cahokia system was settled during the First Exodus from Terra[4] and by the end of the Age of War Cahokia was a part of the Federated Suns.[5]

Cahokia IV

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard

Cahokia IV - more commonly known simply as Cahokia - is the fourth planet in the Cahokia system and has a single moon named Sequoia. Cahokia has been home to a manufacturing plant operated by Achernar BattleMechs.[1]

Planetary History

Cahokia was originally settled for the large amount of mineral resources available in the crust. Despite the tainted atmosphere, these minerals were so valuable that mining companies were willing to invest the capital needed to exploit the world. In 3079 most of the mining was handled by remotely operated MiningMechs; a factory operated by Achernar BattleMechs on Cahokia had originally produced MiningMechs, but by the end of the Jihad was expanding its production lines to support the production of military equipment as well.[1]

Geography

Cahokia has three continents named Albui, Peoria and Tamaroa but is only marginally habitable for humans.[1]

Planetary Locations

  • Chicago: the location of the Achernar BattleMechs facility on Peoria.[1]
  • Illiniwek: the planetary capital city, located on Peoria.[1]
