The Campbelton system was home to at least one habitable world, Campbelton III, and as at 3145 was located in the Wolf Empire.[2][3]

System Description

The Campbelton system is located near the Kirkenlaard and Washburn systems[2][3] and consists of a class G6V primary orbited by at least three planets. During the thirty-first century a recharge station was in place at the system zenith jump point.[1]

System History

The Campbelton system settled during or shortly before the Age of War and by the end of the era was a member of the Marik Commonwealth province of the Free Worlds League.[4]

Campbelton III

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard Campbelton III - more commonly known simply as Campbelton - is the third planet in the Campbelton system and has a single moon named Atholville. Campbelton has been host to at facilities operated by at least one significant defense manufacturing company and is notable for having a planetary capital with the same name as its moon.[1]

Planetary History

The Jihad

In February 3076 the civilian population of Campbelton suffered more than two million casualties as a result of attacks aimed at the Word of Blake's Twentieth Militia Division, which was on Campbelton at the time. The attacks came from a rogue force, suspected of having ComStar origins, who attacked the Twentieth Division at various points around the planet. The raiders used tactical nuclear weapons as a part of their attacks, destroying three major population centres around which the Twentieth Division had placed defenses.[5][6]
