As of 3025, Candent Septarian was a MechWarrior piloting a Warhammer[2] in the Davion Brigade of Guards, and was friends with Ardan Sortek.
In the recapture of Stein's Folly, Ardan Sortek was wounded, captured, and became an unreliable witness to strange things. Because he was a close confidant of First Prince Hanse Davion and deemed in a mentally unstable state, he was sent to Tharkad for recuperation where he convinced Archon Katrina Steiner and Melissa Steiner that something was afoot.
