System Information
X:Y Coordinates-223.115 : -47.613[e]

The Cascade system was home to at least one habitable world and as at 3145 was located in the Wolf Empire.[1][2]

System Description

The Cascade system is located near the Colfax and Loric systems.[1][2]

System History

The Cascade system was colonised at some point during or shortly prior to the Age of War, and by the end of the Age of War was a member of the Free Worlds League.[3][4]

Planetary History

The planet Cascade was one of the initial targets of the Skye and Bolan Province invasion of the Free Worlds League in March 3068. Named Operation ÜBERSCHATTEN, the invasion began on the 10th of March with attacks on Cascade, Megrez and Togwotee. The Lyrans would only hold Cascade for a few weeks; when Marshall Jeremy Brett assumed control of the local FWLM forces and launched Operation BROKEN FIST, the Free Worlds League counterattack against the invading Lyran forces, Cascade was one of targets for the second wave of attacks, and the FWLM had recaptured the world by the 24th of July.[23]

Following the dissolution of the Free Worlds League in January 3079, elements within the Lyran Alliance moved to annex a number of former League worlds between August and September that year. Cascade was one of seven worlds conquered during this period, and the invasion only stopped when Archon Adam Steiner declared that any other bouts of what he termed "unauthorised adventurism" would be considered an act of treason.[25]
