System Description
Coraines is located near the Cerberus and Jordan Wais systems.[1][2]
System History
The Coraines system was either colonized by the Outworlds Alliance during the Star League era at some point after the end of the Reunification War, or was an already-inhabited system that became significant enough during this era to be recorded on maps by the Inner Sphere nations.[3][4]

Planetary History
Civil War Era
On 6 August 3064, pirates attempted to raid Coraines. The local militia fended them off, suffering substantial losses in the process.[32]
The Dark Age
In 3135, an engagement was fought in the Coraines system between an unidentified Leopard-class DropShip—and the two Corsair-class aerospace fighters that it carried—and the Wanderer, an NL-45 Gunboat commanded by Supervisor Elias Simms of the Fourth Alliance Air Wing. The Wanderer was capable of outmaneuvering the Leopard, which prompted the Leopard to launch its Corsairs; the Wanderer then used a combination of its ECM systems and speed to draw the fighters away until they had no choice but to make a run for their parent vessel, at which point the Wanderer pursued and destroyed one while the second ran out of fuel.[43]
