Planetary Info
Dahar is a hot world with two continents. Each of these continents is primarily desert, leading to the troops of the Dahar Draconis March Militia being some of the best soldiers in the AFFS when it comes to desert fighting. The plentiful ores and minerals that are in the planet's crust led to initial colonization efforts, and the harsh environment led to engineers creating some of the most advanced mining equipment in the Inner Sphere. Designs for this equipment were licensed throughout the Inner Sphere, and the income from these licenses raised the standard of living across Dahar.[1]
Although the planet of Dahar was mostly unscathed during the First Succession War, it was devastated by General Chosokabe Motochika when his troops laid waste to the planet under a false flag of surrender during the Second Succession War. [27]
The two continents are known as Dusty and Bauxum. Dusty is the more heavily populated, and the planet's capital city (Drakaar) is found here as well. Bauxum is known to the natives as "Hell's Kitchen". Average surface temperatures of 75 degrees centigrade are not uncommon. The Dahar DMM maintains a training facility on Bauxum to prepare its troops for combat in the harsh environment.[1]
