The Daniels system is the location of at least one habitable planet or construct and as at 3145 was located in the Kathil Operational Area of the Capellan March within the Federated Suns.[1][2]

System Description

The Daniels system is located near that Alcyone and Dowles systems.[3]

System History

The Daniels system was colonised during the First Exodus from Terra and was contested by a number of proto-nations in the Capellan Zone prior to the foundation of the Capellan Confederation, including the Capellan Hegemony, Sarna Supremacy and St. Ives Mercantile League.[4][5][6]

Early History

As a world within the Capellan Hegemony, Daniels was subject to heavy attacks from hired Kluanian pirates in 2305. Hired by the Sarna Supremacy, the pirates inflicted heavy damage on a number of Capellan border worlds, forcing the Hegemony to constantly redeploy troops to defend it's worlds rather than continuing to stage attacks on Sarna.[4] During the years between the defeats suffered by the Federated Suns over worlds such as Beten Kaitos and Emerson in 2321 and Lucien Davion's retirement in 2332, other worlds with important resources - such as Daniels - came into dispute. Federated Suns forces were pushed off-world,[5] most probably by forces from the St. Ives Mercantile League, as Daniels was affiliated with the Mercantile League when the Capellan Confederation came into being in 2367.[7]
