David Chi Wong was a Terran Hegemony noble who emigrated to the Rim Worlds Republic.

History[edit]

Lady Terens Amaris married Lord David Wong in 2448 and adopted his two children from a previous marriage, allowing them to keep their Wong surname so long as any offspring of their own bore the Amaris name.[1] That same year, an attempt was made on Director-General Jacob Cameron's life and Amaris was put in charge of the investigation which would become the largest manhunt in the Hegemony's history. No suspects were apprehended but Republican passports had been uncovered.[1][2]

Wong was appointed the new Terran ambassador to the Rim Worlds the same time Amaris was dispatched to the Republic's capital of Apollo to engage in high-level espionage as part of her ongoing investigation. During their time there, Lady Heather Durant, the ruler of the Republic, showed them incredible hospitality and offered their entire family a second citizenship in the Rim Worlds. Durant and Amaris developed a strong friendship for which Wong showed no jeolousy or concern, even after Durant named Amaris her heir apparent. In 2463, Terens Amaris became ruler and their families would become two of the most powerful houses in the Rim Worlds Republic for the next three hundred years.[1]
