Planetary History
Dawn was conquered by Clan Wolf during Operation REVIVAL, as one of the initial invasions marking the launch of their Fourth Wave of attacks in July 3050. At the time the planet was defended by the First, Fourth, and Sixth Dawn Planetary Guard Regiments. They faced off against Trinaries Command, Fourth Mixed Services and Fifth Mixed Services of the Fourth Striker Cluster at the Dewin Sinkhole and Wasserstein Pass. For five days the regiments managed to resist but in the end proved no matched for the balanced mixed of combined arms the Wolves brought to bear, and Dawn's planetary government surrendered.[10]
Jihad
Dawn was conquered again during the Jihad when Clan Hell's Horses launched a invasion of the Clan Wolf holdings in the Inner Sphere in early 3071, acquiring holdings for their own relocation to Spheroid space. Dawn was seized by the Hell's Horses at some point in March or early April, who then consolidated their hold on the world.[15] During August, the Hell's Horses invasion had stalled, and Clan Ghost Bear staged Trials of Possession for three worlds bordering their space - Balsta, Hermagor and Dawn.[16][17]
