The Denbar system was home to at least one habitable planet - Denbar VIII - and as at 3145 was located in the St. Ives Commonality of the Capellan Confederation.[3][4]

System Description

Located close to the Bhykov and Indicass systems, the Denbar system consists of a class M2IV primary orbited by at least eight planets.[1][2]

System History

The Denbar system was claimed by at least one interstellar polity prior to the Age of War,[5] centuries prior to the actual colonization of the system.[1]

Denbar VIII

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard Denbar VIII - more commonly referred to simply as Denbar - is the eighth planet in the Denbar system and has a single moon named Kenilworth.[2]

Planetary History

Denbar is unique in that it lacked a permanent settlement for most of its history. Though claimed by the Capellan Confederation, they made no effort to colonize it. In fact it was not until ComStar sent an expedition to the world and found the remains of a Star League expedition dating from the 27th century that the Capellan government began thinking of a permanent settlement. This colony was little more than a military outpost designed to keep the world out of the Federated Suns.[1]

Word of Blake forces operating from Kittery conquered Denbar and the nearby world of Spica in the first week of November 3069.[6]
