Early History

In 2331 the world of Diefenbaker was the site of the first encounter between natives from the Taurian Homeworlds and refugees from the Inner Sphere since the descendants of those who had followed Samantha Calderon into the Periphery in the mid 23rd century left the aftermath of the Outer Reaches Rebellion behind them. After the shock of the initial encounter, both groups treated each other with friendship based on a shared love of independence and feelings of mutual respect. The two groups shared technology between them, and when in 2335 Richard Calderon offered the inhabitants of Diefenbaker the opportunity to join the Taurian Homeworlds in forming a new nation based on mutual defence, the citizens of Diefenbaker agreed, joining in the formation of the Taurian Concordat.[4]

Jihad

In response to the asteroid bombardment of Taurus and evidence that implicated the Federated Suns, the Taurian Concordat launched a second invasion of the Federated Suns during the Jihad. Diefenbaker was a target for the second wave of attacks, and was captured during the third week of July 3074.[26][27]
