Duane Heivilin was the commanding officer of the Fifth Principes Guards as of 3085.[1]
History[edit]
Colonel Heivilin, serving with the Fifth Principes Guards, was stationed on Styk in 3085.[1] Heivilin would continue to command the Fifth Principes by 3111, after the unit had relocated to Second Try.[2]
In October of 3111, the Capellan Confederation launched the Capellan Crusades against historically-Capellan worlds held by the Republic of the Sphere. Fortunately for Heivilin and his Fifth Principes, the Sixth Confederation Reserve Cavalry assigned to attack Second Try had suffered a misjump that put them behind schedule and below strength. Taking this opportunity to prepare their defenses, the Fifth Principes put up a spirited defense that forced the Sixth CRC to settle in for a prolonged siege of the city of Fat Chance.[3] The siege would last until the end of January 3112, when the Sixth CRC received a resupply from off-world, enabling them to defeat the remaining Fifth Principes troops and take their objective three months behind schedule.[4]
