Duggan Marik was the third son of Captain-General Janos Marik and an MP from the Marik Commonwealth. He was killed with his father by an assassin's bomb in 3035.

History[edit]

Life[edit]

Duggan was a corrupt but capable Minister of Trade for the Free Worlds League for many years. He was popular with the other member states, including such troublesome regions as the Principality of Regulus. At one point, he was the popular choice to be named heir-designate to his father's throne, but Janos never considered Duggan, eventually choosing his younger son, Thomas Marik.

In 3015, he gave a speech in Parliament supporting his father's decision to hire Wolf's Dragoons after Anton's Civil War.[3]

Death[edit]

He, along with his father Janos, was assassinated in 3035 by his cousin, Duncan, during a strategy session concerning the Andurien Secession.[4]

Notes[edit]

Was a lover of Bronwen Rafsani, who was also his father's mistress.[citation needed]
