Emilio Hall was a Trueborn, the commanding officer of the Fourteenth Battle Cluster in 3145.[1]

History[edit]

Dark Age[edit]

Along his career, Hall became Star Colonel and had won a Hall (Bloodname).

IlClan Era=[edit]

By 3151, the Fourteenth was stationed on Quarell. The 7 July, it was the Vote Day, with the voting to decide if the Rasalhague Dominion joined the new Star League. Three days later, he was practicing Aikido when was boarded by his second-in-command, Star Captain Allison Rand, and both talked about the vote results on Quarell.[2]

On planet was to be hold a cross-training exercise of all stripes sibkos. A village, Feldspar, was to be used as site of war games, and in 8 September, the town's Major asked him to defend the village's existence during a Trial of Refusal. Reluctantly, Emilio agreed, and though he fought well, he lost, so the town's evacuation was made.[3]

The exercises were almost ready around 6 October, and that date, Emilio was welcoming other Ghost Bears' officers arriving to Quarell to see them, and show his 'Mech, Callisto, to a cadet, Valkyirie, while teach her some lessons. The 10 October, he gave the welcome to all involved cadets before the exercises began. Hall oversaw them. A cadet in particular, the Freeborn Alexis Zarnofsky catch his attention, showing great cunning, and congratulated her himself for a success in particular.[4]

The exercises were interrupted the 6 November, after a particularly hard-fought one, by by the apparition at system of a force of the Clan Jade Falcon Remnants led by Khan Jiyi Chistu, which demanded a Trial of Possession by all the sibkos participating on exercise. Emilio listened to him, though doubted Jiyi was a genuine Falcon, and didn't want to accept... but after Chistu offered as prize VaultShip Gamma, he finally agreed, allowing the Falcons safcon. Hall choose the Pykon River Delta as site for the Trial, but the fight, the 7 November, didn't go as he expected. Despite Emilio's efforts, the Falcons fought too much well, and the Bears' losses became much bigger than the Falcons' ones.[5]

After the fight became a melee, the Bears' situation only worsened. Hall was surprised to hear Cadet Alexis intruding in the waves, declaring a Trial of Refusal over the Trial of Possession, but Hall dismissed her and ensured Chistu than she didn't talk for the Bears. When the decimated Bears were offered hegira by Chistu, Emilio claimed they weren't still defeated. He attempted to change the tide fighting a personal duel with Jiyi, but the Falcon proved to be more cunning than he expected, and Hall was soundly defeated, having to concede defeat and asking for hegira.[6][7]

Death and Legacy[edit]

The 8 November, after delivering the cubs to Chistu's men, and uncovering than he was the falcon's Khan, he was boarded in private by Allison, which informed her about Alaric Ward's refusal to allow the Dominion to join the Star League. Both were devastated, but Rand specially. She attempted to convince him to recover the cubs, but he refused it... and she shoot him for the back, killing him instantly. Hall's death, probably, was one of the reasons why, soon after, Quarell fell to anarchy, with the Cluster dissolving between Joiners and Deniers sides, as part of the Dominion Civil War.[8][9]

BattleMech[edit]

Though Hall piloted a Kodiak for his Trial of Quarell, his favorite 'Mech was an Ursus II, which he called Callisto.[10]
