Origin of picture

I am not shure where the cover picture comes from. Wasn't there a computer animated BattleTech-Movie or series in planning in 1990s which got canceled in the end? I think they had already produced some sequences and I think the cover picture is a still from it... Does anybody know more? Phasis (talk) 05:36, 22 August 2019 (EDT)
