apology.

I load all portraits up from operation klondike, but i haven't read the moratorium period. To all admins, can you delete my files please and write me back. tnx. Neuling 13:24, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

This brings up a question of how to respond to images uploaded during moratorium periods. Should we leave them on the server and just not link to them? Then when the moratorium period is over we can continue as normal. It would be much easier then deleting and reloading the images later. What do you think?
For the record, don't worry about it Neuling. It was an innocent mistake that you brought to our attention. Thanks for letting us know! --Ebakunin (talk|contribs) 15:24, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
We have known Neuling as a genuine and valuable contributor so I have no doubts about him making a genuine mistake here. My opinion is that we should not delete content only to put it back in shortly afterwards, that's just killing bandwidth. Further, pictures are not as critical as text content (totally my gut feeling only). Finally, yes, the moratorium is a BTW policy but it's a self-imposed thing so I can't see a real world problem here. At the end of it, I reckon deleting all those pics is causing more trouble than living with the accidential violation of the moratorium policy. The only thing I'd ask for is not to use the pics in articles until the moratorium expires. Frabby 17:21, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
