Flavio Rodriguez a MechWarrior fighting for McCarron's Armored Cavalry. He was a cowardly and cruel person. He was recently cashiered out for "conduct unbecoming", and it's likely that only his family connections saved him from military prison or worse. How Flavio was able to acquire something as massive as a Daishi remains a mystery, but given his background, some sort of criminal involvement is likely. Now on Solaris VII, Flavio continues in his decadent way, hoping to win respect in the arena (before the Maskirovka catches up with him). Time has not tempered his faulty character.

History[edit]

Flavio Rodriguez may be one of the greediest, cruelest, and most cowardly men seen outside of Jacob Bannson's Band of Five. With an affluent background in the Capellan Confederation, Rodriguez's future was laid out well in advance for him. Cocky and spoiled, he developed a casual disregard for those around him, taking whatever he wanted and leaving his family to clean up the mess. Indulging in vices such as gambling, alcohol, and narcotics, he somehow maintained just enough tact and focus to join the ranks of the Cavalry without stepping on the wrong toes or getting himself cashiered. Still, as a result of his countless indiscretions, including the disappearances or untimely deaths of three women and one male servitor, the Maskirovka has a file on this man, though it has yet to take action against him.

He was also able to acquire a Clan Sea Fox Produced Koshi 3 sold to the Capellan Confederation as scrap via the Clan's enclave on Ingersoll. Though technically nonfunctional, enough parts were given to the Capellan technicians to restore it and several other scrapped Clan 'Mechs to full operation. Flavio Rodriguez nicknamed the Koshi as Six Gun in reference to the sextet of heavy small lasers he likes to use to devastating effect on enemy infantry, armor, and support vehicles.

In 3144, he was a Sang-wei in the Second McCarron’s Armored Cavalry. His recon company, known as "Rodriguez's Layabouts" was infamous for having the most disciplinary actions in the entire regiment, a trait he shared with his men. During the battle for New Hessen however, his unit won praise for routinely putting themselves in harms way in order to flush out and identify the fanatical resistance.[2]

Eventually even his barduc family connections and battlefield accomplishments couldn't save him from being discharged. Managing to take his ’Mech with him, he soon lost it to Imad Aglin in a game of Four Card Drax "somewhere in Liao space."[3]

He still had some good luck however, and next showed up on Solaris VII with a Daishi of unknown (though likely nefariously obtained) origins. Flavio continued in his decadent ways, hoping to win respect in the arena before the Maskirovka catches up with him.[1][3][4]

BattleMechs[edit]

Rodriguez first piloted a customized Koshi, serial number SF2055-14B, nicknamed Six Gun. Sold to the Capellan Confederation as "scrap" by Clan Sea Fox it just happened to come with the spare parts needed to make it operational once more.[1]

He later piloted a DWF-VP-A Daishi, nicknamed Corruptor.[2][4]
