Frangible ammunition is a type of slug-thrower round designed to be used aboard spacecraft. Composed of metal and polymers frangible rounds will break apart upon impact with any solid surface. This makes them incapable of penetrating barriers while still proving to be lethal against unarmored human targets. Accelerated Energy Transfer Ammo has a similar purpose, but has some effect against armor.[1]
